Examples include: Silcar Visionstream, Servicestream and Alcatel.
There are many Private Companies (listed in the Yellow pages) who install and maintain telecommunications, telephone, broadband, switching equipment, telephone/data/network cabling.
Private companies (listed in Yellow pages under Telecommunications Consultants) who design and project manage telecommunications installations.
Many large companies and government departments have an IT/telecommunications section which is responsible for the company's/department's communications facilities.

Ramsden Telecommunications Training is the leading RTO delivering Australia-wide Telecommunications technical training as well as Technical Security and IT training. We deliver full qualifications at Certificate II, III, IV, Diploma & Advanced Diploma levels and skill sets for both internal and external plant including wireless and OF transmission.
Essential qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104 or TAE40110)
Plus
• Senior First Aid (HLTFA301)
• Construction Induction (CPCCOHS1001)
• Open Cabling Registration preferably with all endorsements
• Certificate IV Telecommunications (technical stream) or higher
or
• Certificate III Telecommunications with significant work skills and experience.
or
• Certificate IV Information Technologies or higher
You will also require extensive current telecommunications industry experience in external plant, internal plant, wireless or optical fibre transmission.
You need to have an approachable dynamic personality with the ability to work with diverse student groups.
Our instructors often teach trainees that are under 18 years old, and as this work has been determined child related employment you will need to sign a NSW Prohibited Employment Declaration and hold a state based Working with Children Check.
Instructors are independent contractors and as such must be a registered business, hold an ABN and be registered for GST.
