This course is designed for persons who wish to install and maintain security alarm systems. It provides an understanding of the security industry and the regulatory environment and covers installation and programming of security panels, peripherals and closed circuit TV systems. The course will detail the installation procedures for two common alarm panels. It also delivers the ACMA Restricted Registration which is legally required to install fixed security systems within residential and small shops/offices.
Course Objectives:
To be able to work safely within the security industry

To understand basic CCTV systems and equipment
Use common installation tools to install, wire and program the Bosch 844 alarm system
Conduct system programming on the DAS NX16 alarm panel.
To demonstrate basic fault finding procedures for common panels
